Prescott, Arizona is a wonderful small town of Americana. It also hosts "The Worlds Oldest Rodeo."
The downtown area of Prescott has a very large square with the Courthouse in middle of it. It is also know as the "Arizona Christmas Town". They light more than 100 of the trees in the downtown Square
Surrounding this beautiful square are plenty of great Restaurants - and blocks of stores! The weekend before 4th of July they held a huge Blue Grass Festival at one end of the Square. Great music and crowds as we enjoyed some great "pickin" and playing.
We really felt very comfortable walking downtown at night and there certainly seemed to be plenty of restaurants and art gallery stores to visit while there.
There is something to do either in downtown or at one of the lakes just about every weekend during the summer season. Craft Shows, Car shows, Music, some incredible Art Shows - it just offers so much more than the typical town, as we've seen in our travels.
The Prescott Chamber of Commerce is probably the most active and friendliest I've even seen!
They have almost 1,000 members and many are very active within the Chamber and the town. It's a really great place to visit, live and do business!
